A Salvaged Pie Safe

Josh rescued a dilapidated  chest of drawers from the trash...
designed and cut out some legs ,
fixed a drawer and shelves,
 made doors...using some authentic ceiling tile ...
added some trim pieces...and later different knobs than these...
Painted it red and it is in his dining room now.

 a grand babies picture...just because.

I have been on a 4 day camp out with about 50 relatives. I had a birthday yesterday, started back to work (school) today, and will help open a store in October... And William will have surgery Thursday to put stints in the right leg to open some blockage.  What are y'all up too?

  3. Hi Lezlee~
    and a Very Happy Birthday to you! I thought you may be back at school by now...and was surprised to see so many posts lately-with school on the horizon! LOL...
    Josh has certainly got some talent for scouting out usable furniture! I love this pie safe.
    And I guess he has a penchant for RED like his Mom!
    Praying for William. Stints is a pretty easy surgery now days-- I'm praying it will go well with him!

    ~~~I'm trying to wrap up some projects before the Fall.
  4. I love the pie safe! It turned out so well. It's back to school here, too. I work at a university.
    I've been re-arranging my dish collection and enjoying the end of summer.
    Best of luck with everything!
