I bought me a red umbrella like this green one today...I posted this pic last April and have thought about it a lot, but didn't have just the umbrella I needed. I found one at Goodwill today.

Since mine is red, I was thinking white or yellow flowers and maybe just a burlap bow...I've seen them used as baby shower decor as well...I love them...

I just love this idea so much...and I love umbrellas, too...can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty idea...that is original and a nice departure from wreaths.
ReplyDeleteA red umbrella to adorn your door... pretty! I know you'll make it all unique and definitely Lezlee : ) I enjoyed your family pictures too. What lovely people. Love the sisters in the hats!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best idea I have seen in awhile! Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

I saw this in Midwest Living last year (or somewhere?) and tried it. Mine did NOT turn out at all. I had to break the metal pieces in the umbrella to make it fan out right and still...I hope you have a better outcome (I'm sure you will!) and I look forward to seeing it.
ReplyDeleteGadzooks! Love, this idea. Just so you know, I'm stealing it. Cold hearted stealing. Love, love, love! Thank you for the inspiration. Cheers - Kathy
ReplyDeleteThat is so much sweeter than a round wreath on the door. Yours will look fantastic in red. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeletePerfect touch for April showers! I've got a clear one with plastic flowers I should do that to!

I remember seeing these before... I like the idea.
ReplyDeleteBut I have to ask... are you singing in the RAIN? REALLY?
Cause it keeps going on around us, and you're not that far off from me.
It even sprinkled at the youngest daughters this morning ...and she is only about 3 1/2 mi. from me!
I WANT SOME RAIN....TO SING IN... Pat
