Flower Girl Tu Tu: The Peacock Princesses, Wedding Series 2

Getting ready...
peacock tail feathers
 for the Peacock Princesses

We had three peacock princesses, our two grand babies and

 Laura's sweet niece

Laura's niece

Aubry Doodles
they went barefooted down the aisle and then went to sit with family

My darling great niece served as the traditional flowergirl
and here is a little sneak of the radiant bride in her stunning dress

practicing...she did an awesome job...

 Happy.
At first, they squealed , running all over the church ...
giggling with delight over their puffy dresses,

CamerRoniRoni being held by her mom, Jerri...
(Jodi and Laura helped Jerri make the the tu tu dresses)

but as time wore on...they were a little tired.

Hats and other peacock finery were encouraged.
Laura loves hats and a nod to Moma, as she is well-known for her hat wearing,
plus it was the year of the Royal Wedding and we all saw the hats they sported.

The boys looked pretty spiffy, too.
We made the bouts.
They chose to wear suits, white shirts with nice matching ties, which Josh gifted the guys with.
He was so proud of them, because he purchased them in the TALL dept.,
so they actually fit all those tall guys.

Granddaddy giving some last minutes instructions...
mmm hmmm, them girls instructing him, more like it!

Rehearsal Dinner Decor and Food ~ Wedding Series Post One~

We went back and forth~

Should we just go to a restaurant,
 or do it ourselves...?
In the end,
to have it be the casual, yet personal
celebration we desired,
we decided  to throw the party ourselves
besides we did it this way for our other married son.

(of course it is awesome to have a big  generous family,
in which I  depend on,
to go without sleep, overlook my bossy self ,or whatever  else it might entail,
to make it all come together,
thank you, form the bottom of my heart)

The Fellowship Hall was being decorated for the reception,
so we used another church building...

It sets on the lot where my childhood home stood...my birthplace.
We sold the property to the bank, later they sold out to the church.
So, it looks like a big bank lobby, turned children's ministry building...

I like how the shutter and plate sign turned out.

 The wedding colors were blue...

with peacock feathers and green accents

I realize the table linens are wrinkled...
however, it fit right in with the
burlap and mason jars...
& brisket.

Great Nephew

Josh designed the peacock motif , which was displayed throughout the wedding,
beginning with the invitations...

Suzette used the design when making  the darling cup cake topper,
which lent a very cohesive pulled together look

 Tables

Us...>>>>>

The tables made a huge square with Josh and Laura's round table in the center.
I'll try to find a picture.

Mason Jars...Suzette fixed these up so prettily.
using the peacock pattern, again

We raided Moma's Bottle Trees and Vase Stash.
They are used here, at the wedding and reception.

We also had scrabble letters spelling out love and marriage words,
along with lots of great billfold size engagement pics for everyone to take.

The children had a special table, with a PEACOCK to color

Thanks to Charlotte and others who helped prepare, serve, and clean up
