A Salvaged Pie Safe

Josh rescued a dilapidated  chest of drawers from the trash...
designed and cut out some legs ,
fixed a drawer and shelves,
made doors...using some authentic ceiling tile ...
added some trim pieces...and later different knobs than these...
Painted it red and it is in his dining room now.

 a grand babies picture...just because.

I have been on a 4 day camp out with about 50 relatives. I had a birthday yesterday, started back to work (school) today, and will help open a store in October... And William will have surgery Thursday to put stints in the right leg to open some blockage.  What are y'all up too?

Elsie Mae on Market coming soon!

    In deep play

the Junkin' Sistas

         harkened to the creative echos

                    of  childhood mud pie days,

conjuring up endless possibilities,
knowing
they were blessed beyond measure...

candle sticks, trash to treasure

Josh and I made these ...

I still adore numbers and words...
environmental  print ...

Lit Pumpkins would look cute in Autumn, huh?

While I was working on these I had a huge messy spill.
Please say, I am not the only one this happens too!

Handmade Napkin Ring Holders

These napkin ring holders are made from:
old dictionary sheets,
vintage buttons,
rusted very stiff wire,
& of course a little bling.

I made these for a friend...
we bar ter ed some items...

A purposeful way to utilize that stash of sentimental buttons,
so come on dip in to that ole' button jar and show me what you got!

details.details. details.

Don't cha just love a bleached white napkin?

The lady getting these is a reading teacher,
so I thought the dictionary sheets were fitting,
but you could copy old letters, recipes,
or cookbooks, even!
Wouldn't that be cool?

All buttoned up

 PS
An old building down town is being fixed up
for a new store I will have a part in...
The best part is we get to do fun spiffing.
We are planning some cool stuff!
