A Salvaged Pie Safe

Josh rescued a dilapidated  chest of drawers from the trash...
designed and cut out some legs ,
fixed a drawer and shelves,
 made doors...using some authentic ceiling tile ...
added some trim pieces...and later different knobs than these...
Painted it red and it is in his dining room now.

 a grand babies picture...just because.

I have been on a 4 day camp out with about 50 relatives. I had a birthday yesterday, started back to work (school) today, and will help open a store in October... And William will have surgery Thursday to put stints in the right leg to open some blockage.  What are y'all up too?

Hi Lezlee~
and a Very Happy Birthday to you! I thought you may be back at school by now...and was surprised to see so many posts lately-with school on the horizon! LOL...
Josh has certainly got some talent for scouting out usable furniture! I love this pie safe.
And I guess he has a penchant for RED like his Mom!
Praying for William. Stints is a pretty easy surgery now days-- I'm praying it will go well with him!

~~~I'm trying to wrap up some projects before the Fall.
I love the pie safe! It turned out so well. It's back to school here, too. I work at a university.
I've been re-arranging my dish collection and enjoying the end of summer.
Best of luck with everything!
Sounds like you have been a busy lady! Happy Birthday! I just had mine last Friday.
Good thing you are back to school- so you can rest up from your summer!
Hope the stint surgery goes well. DH here has high blood pressure now, but doing good on his meds.
Hope your birthday wishes all come true! 'Tis the season of "busy"! I am already behind but, that's really nothing new! I'd love to hear more about the shop!
Take care,
Wow Prior, you've been busy. I love the pie safe and you have just totally inspired me to add some pressed metal to a piece of furniture I have.
Best wishes to you for William's surgery.
