Prior Lives Party 4

I'm posting party linky a day early. For my entry to this month's Prior Lives Party, I thought I would show some of Momma's yard~since I had given you a little tease, already.

Here are some of her bottle and vase trees. She had bottle trees way before they were so popular. At 84, Momma isn't in style, she is style. In their prior lives...these held Milk of Magnesia, fancy water, and 7-up, others held cold cream... and some were vases...
My son, Jeremy, made this blue one for her. She's collected bottles for as long as I can remember...
Notice the "out house" and the "Well".
She can even make plastic look good...

Just your everyday water bottles here.
oh, yeah Momma's got plenty to see...I'll post more someday
and she has plenty of bottles waiting...and chippy chairs, too!
Just another little teaser...
Now, it is your turn... Do you have something that you have transformed or used differently than first intended or just an old something with a neat story to tell of a prior life? Well then, what are you waiting for? Link up and put a link back here, so everyone can hop around easily. Add a snap shot of you back in the day, if you'd like, because I sure would like! And do try to visit around...that's what makes it a fun party. I'm excited! Funny story: When Jan first came to this party...she thought it might be about reincarnation,( & I was a little afraid of that), but the funny thing about it to her was, she came anyway!
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back!

reposting for a garden party with Donna at FJI

My party is just once a month, so it will be open until the end of the month! You got two weeks~

Lezlee-- I loved actually seeing photos of your Momma's glass bottle trees. I remember some years back she wrote her piece in the paper about these very trees. I could only imagine, then I saw some in some country magazine...and now I'm finally seeing hers. Isn't it a small world? I've never met you but I've got this connection with you via your Momma's articles in the paper!
Small, small world.

I'll try and link up ---I currently don't have a post! I love your party and I'll be back for sure.

Amazing! I've never seen anything like that, what a creative mind to come up with something so unique and beautiful. Wow. Looks like creative talent runs deep in your family! Such beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing! I love your party and am always thinking about what I can create to link up with. Hopefully my computer will get fixed today... repairman coming, but there's a four-year-old having a birthday party at my house tonight, so it might be a few days :)

Ooooh I love your mama!!! You are right she IS style. The bottle trees are wonderful! My tree is all kinds of bottles and all colors...I may have to change mine up because I love the ones with just one color. Lots more style to them.
I'll bet when those irises bloom at the bottom of the green vase one it is lovely!
I'll be coming fashionably late to the party, but I'll show up in a bit.

Lezlee, how I would LOVE to spend time in your mom's yard. I bet it sparkles with all that beautiful glass! That black and white picture you posted is absolutely gorgeous -- suitable for framing. I also love the Memory box of your father's! You're right -- those men were made of steal. I live near the St. Louis arch and have seen movies of those guys making that arch. They would just sit up there on those girders eating their lunch like it was nothing as my hands sweat simply watching. I finally finished my "prior", and a couple more pics and I'm ready to go!

Oh -- I just saw the comment about what I thought the party was (hahaha). The thing is that I do have several stories to tell in reference to "prior lives" in that sense, as well (lol)!

Amazing, the first tree looks like a cactus, and I love the blue bottle one! Such creativity, love how she can make anything into art. That is talent!

Thanks for the party! The bottle trees are quite beautiful. The wonderful gifts our Mother's pass on to us. If not for my Mother and Grandmother's interest in decorating where would I be!
